Baked Korean BBQ Chicken Wings

IF WE CAN’T GO TO THE BAR, LET THE BAR COME TO US! Baked Korean BBQ Chicken Wings recipe ⬇️ Where my chicken wings lovers at⁉️

INGREDIENTS:

10-12 Chicken wings

1/4 cup Korean red chili pepper paste (Gochujang)

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 Tbsp water

1 Tbsp sesame oil

1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar

6 cloves garlic, minced

2 Tbsp finely chopped onion

1 Tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and minced, or ginger powder

1 Tsp kosher salt

1 Tsp black pepper

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Chopped scallions, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

1️⃣ In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients for the marinade except for the chicken wings. Keep about 1/2 cup of the marinade in a separate container and refrigerate until ready to cook chicken wings.

2️⃣ In the same bowl that you used to mix the marinade or large ziploc bag, combine the chicken wings and toss to coat. You can cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 4 hours (or up to overnight, if you plan ahead)

3️⃣ When ready to cook the chicken wings, heat oven to 350F degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the wings in a single layer, pouring any extra marinade on top of the wings.

4️⃣ Bake for 30 minutes, flip wings and put back in oven for another 15 minutes.

5️⃣ In the meantime, reduce the 1/2 cup of extra marinade you saved in a small pot over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, you want to reach a thick but juicy consistency.

6️⃣ Turn the temperature up to 400F degrees, flip wings and brush/pour the extra marinade on top, and bake another 10-15 minutes until cooked through.

7️⃣ Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions.
